Our founder, Günter Knapp, was a visionary inventor whose innovative ideas continue to shape our corporate culture. Mr. Knapp established the company in Austria in 1952 to manufacture specialty machines. His solutions to the challenges faced by businesses in the 1950s remain integral today.

This growth evolved to include conveyors and lifts, with international orders fueling development in the early ’70s. In 1980, the current global headquarters in Graz, Austria, was built. Innovation continued.

We remain a family-owned business at heart and take immense pride in the spirit and expertise of our global team.
