Workstations & Paperless Picking

Ergonomic, smart designs for seamless workflows

Our Pick-it-Easy Workstations combine ergonomic design with smart technology to reduce physical strain and improve long-term comfort, while paperless picking solutions—RF scanners, voice picking and pick-to-light—minimize errors and accelerate order processing. Together, these technologies boost productivity, improve accuracy and create a more satisfying work environment that helps attract, train and retain top warehouse talent.

Ergonomic Workstations Enable Efficiency & Accuracy at Consistently High Speeds

Our Pick-it-Easy Workstations were designed to provide the best possible work environment for manual picking in an industrial setting. People stand at the center of the automation where they can work smarter, not harder. Instead of walking miles every day to retrieve items, goods come to them. Goods-to-person picking stations support and motivate people as they work, with ergonomic designs that reduce physical strain and improve long-term comfort.

The easyUse interfaces guide people step-by-step through their tasks, supporting order picking, returns processing, goods consolidation, inventory, repacking and value-added services. These Workstations serve as the interface between people and warehouse technology and can be seamlessly combined with our family of ASRS automation systems, the Pick-it-Easy Robot, a variety of pocket Sorter Systems, and AMRs.

Paperless Picking Enables Productive, Error-free Picking

KNAPP paperless picking system guiding warehouse employees through digital instructions and real‑time confirmations, improving accuracy, speeding order fulfillment, and reducing reliance on printed documents within automated intralogistics workflows.

Paperless picking replaces traditional paper-based order fulfillment with digital tools that guide warehouse staff through each task—boosting speed, accuracy and visibility. Instead of relying on printed pick lists, employees use technologies like RF scanners, voice picking and pick-to-light systems to receive instructions in real time.

These systems help teams stay productive in areas where automation isn’t practical, while still benefiting from digital efficiency.

“Thanks to the new goods-to-person system, we can greatly reduce the time spent walking. This leads to a significant improvement in productivity and at the same time takes the load off our employees.”
