UNFI Opens New Distribution Center
UNFI is proud to announce the opening Distribution Center (DC) —part of the company’s strategy to deliver more value for its partners through improved operational effectiveness and efficiency.
Sarasota North is UNFI’s first DC to feature KNAPP’s AI-enabled Pick-it-Easy Robot and its second to implement Goods-to-Person automation. These innovations enhance order accuracy and inventory management, driving better customer service and a more efficient associate experience.
KNAPP Announces Key Role Focused on Service & Innovation
Alessandro Freidl, Executive Vice President of Customer Service for KNAPP AG (right), announced the promotion of Deep Tayal to Senior Vice President of Customer Service for North America. Tayal will lead KNAPP North America’s service organization, driving proactive, data-driven models that improve system performance and long-term customer success. He continues to helped modernize KNAPP’s service approach through digital platforms, predictive maintenance, and integrated performance metrics.
